Most universal substrates from large retailers are basic peat mixtures that compact over time. Our urban garden mix is a technical product from Granada with +40% organic matter and a 5-3-7 nutrient ratio. This ensures that the soil remains airy and feeds your plants in a balanced way, something that generic substrates cannot offer.

It is not necessary. This mix is ready to use from day one. Since it is enriched with worm castings and magnesium, it already contains the biological load and nutrients necessary for the seeding and transplanting phase. You just have to fill your container, dampen it slightly, and start growing.

Although it has been specifically formulated as vegetable garden soil (tomatoes, herbs, vegetables), its balance makes it a premium universal substrate suitable for ornamental plants, outdoor flowers, and indoor plants. Any container-grown plant will benefit from its excellent drainage and organic richness.

Magnesium is the engine of photosynthesis. By including it in our technical formula, we help plants maintain an intense green color and process sunlight better. This is vital in urban terrace gardens where plants are often subjected to greater thermal stress.

Our mix already includes an ideal proportion of castings, but if you are looking for an extra energy boost for demanding plants or want to regenerate old soil, pure castings are the perfect supplement to add to this substrate.

Compost is decomposing organic matter that serves as fertilizer, but it lacks the physical structure necessary for a plant to grow on its own (it is usually heavy and retains too much water). Our urban garden mix, on the other hand, is a balanced technical substrate: it combines the nutritional richness of worm castings with coconut fiber and plant matter to ensure lightness and oxygenation.
